it’s Day 3 of the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! This is project #4 for me:
I’m featuring Angie Blom Digital Designs. The kit I used:
- Christmas Joy Mugs
It’s PACKED with goodness. If you aren’t familiar with Angie’s kits, they’re awesome. She gives you all the elements separately AND also sets them up so it’s EASY to print out A2 [and slimline] designs. I printed out 2 of the A2 designs – 4 cards per 8.5 x 11 sheet.
How do I do it? I use a laser printer and THIS watercolor paper. The watercolor paper is versatile because I use it for digi designs and for regular cards too. The paper is thin enough to feed through the printer without any problems. Tips:
- I use Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and their blender.
- I tend to let the print outs ‘sit for a bit’.
- Use caution when adhering tape [washi, craft] to secure dies. If you get the digital designs it will peel off the toner.
This is the first cup I colored up. I could have easily fussy cut the images but I love the panel as is. I did some distressing with the Distress Oxide – Tea Dye. See the added snowflake? It’s from Pretty Pink Posh’s Winter Mug. I placed it there because I accidently laid the tape on top of the image. I don’t think I did that before but in my excitement of getting the project done this morning, I was a bit sloppy. This is just one of the many fabulous things about papercrafting. There is usually a ‘fix’ for everything.
Before I chit chat about my second project, I wanted to let you know that the Angie Blom Digital Designs – Coffee Collection is 45% off.
You’re not going to want to miss out on the SALE.
Okay, onto my 2nd card:
I was in cardmaking mode when I was die cutting out the images. I used a stitched rectangle and scalloped rectangle with both images. I realized that after I die cut the merry & bright panel, I could have used a square die instead of the rectangle. I fixed it by adding the waxed hemp and the trio of sweet bells.
There you go! I have 6 other coffee mugs waiting for me to color them up! I LOVE Angie’s designs.

These are great coffee cards Amy and thanks for all the tips on printing and coloring with digis (I found out the hard way that watercolor paper doesn’t really care for alcohol inks or rolling tape from a dispenserš¤¦š»āāļø). TFS and inspiring! ~Kimberly
