Joy, Peace & Love | Catherine Pooler

I’m back with another project that features the New Catherine Pooler Designs – Holiday Magic Collection:

• Greenery of the Season | stamp
• Greenery of the Season | dies
• Festive Joy Word | die
• Holiday Spice | 6×6
• Frankfurt | sequin mix

My intention wasn’t to design two cards for today. I made the shaker card first:

• I’m smitten with all things plaid so I trimmed that patterned panel down to 4.0 x 5.25.
• I cut a circle out of it and set that aside.
• I used the direct to paper with the Rouge ink to create a solid panel for the base. I backed the circular opening with a white panel and poured in some of the Frankfurt Sequin Mix.
• I backed the circle with an upcycled stamp packaging plastic film. I used foam strip adhesive to adhere the top of the card to the base.
• I used the Festive Joy Word die and pieced together a silver glitter one and a Rouge one.
• Using the Direct to paper technique I designed a strip and heat embossed the sentiment in White from the Holiday Joy Sentiments stamp set.

Remember that plaid circle piece? Typically I pop it back with the 6×6 and forget about it. This time I decided to whip up another card, especially since I had the other Joy word ready:

When I first started designing with the Holiday Magic products I stamped multiple panels of the Greenery of the Season. THIS has been a great time savings for me when I designed the other cards.

I used the following inks for the foilage:

• Rouge – Poinsettia bloom
• Apricot – Berries
• Wintergreen – leaves
