Before I get to the projects for today, I wanted to let you know about a fun hop in September:
Raise your hand if you own the adorable Hero Arts – Big Owl! I put together the first hop back in 2019 and thought it was time to do it again. Let’s ink that cute stamp up and hop!
This will be on IG BUT if you’re not on IG and want to play along, that works too. This is still in the planning stage but I’ve designated the September Woodblock Wednesday for this event:
- Wednesday, September 25 @ 5 am pacific
Link up HERE with your IG if you’d like to join in the fun. Use an earlier project photo that features Big Owl for your pic. I’ll reach back out with all the details in early September. Back to today’s post:
This month I thought I’d throw out a Christmas in July theme! Not required but if you need that extra nudge to add a project or two to your 2024 holiday stash, here it is.
I’m super excited to announce my guest designer for this month, Vanessa Buzard:
So beautiful! She picked that woodblock stamp as one of her winnings last month. I love how she was inspired. Make sure you check out her blog for all the details. Don’t forget to give her Instagram a follow too!
Here’s how I was inspired today:
I thought Christmas in July would be a great way for ME to add of my holiday stash. I wanted to make sure I had a handful of truly postal friendly designs.
My project features the following woodblock stamp:
- Impress – Forest of Trees
- Impress – Greetings from WA
Impress is not currently shipping due to a move.
I used Concord & 9th inks:
- Avocado
- Nutmeg
The smidge of Impress glitter really adds to the simple design.
I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired this month!

The shimmery trees against the pink background looks great! And Vanessa’s card is just delightful!
I love CAS holiday cards like this. Really beautiful.
Two wonderful cards – love the trees in them both
Blessings
Maxine
Gorgeous cards – Can’t wait till I get back home tomorrow and have a chance to play.
I love that stamp….I need to get one that says Greetings from Florida. Thanks for inspiring me to get a couple of Christmas cards done, Amy. I wasn’t able to participate the last couple of months and I missed it.
