I’m sliding in on the final day to link up to the Lawn Fawnatics – Coffee, Tea and Treats challenge:
I originally started this project with my Mom in mind. I was going to send it to her for New Years. I was really trying to make the Stitched Mug Frame look like a tea cup. I trimmed off the handle but it wasn’t working for me. I then decided to combined the Stitched Mug Frame and the Outside In Stitched Mug and design a shaker card.
This card then morphed into something different but still the same. The shaker bits are by Twiddler’s Nook – Wishing on Rainbow Stars embellishments.
Let’s start with the new Lawn Fawn – You Mean so Mochi set. I’m wondering how many Lawn Fawn fans had to google Mochi? I’m japanese and grew up with mochi. I’ll be honest with you, my hubby who will try everything at least once wasn’t too hip on them [in soup]. Mochi is a big staple in our New Year’s festivities. So I ended up designing this card for one of my brother’s.
He’ll appreciate those mochis. He’s a very patient cook and diner. He will take the time to pan fry mochis to a golden brown. I designed these mochis as more of a pastry with a sweet bean filling [my favorite!].
The interior panel is what really customized it for my brother. He was born in the Year of the Dragon so I had to add this:
Here are the Lawn Fawn products I used:
- You Mean so Mochi | stamps + lawn cuts
- Let’s Roll | stamps + lawn cuts
- Little Dragon | stamps + lawn cuts
- Happy Everything | stamps
- Stitched Mug Frame | lawn cuts
- Outside In Stitched Mug | lawn cuts
- Scripty Happy | lawn cuts
- Flower Market | 6×6
