Hello! I’m popping in here to post some last minute projects that were inspired by:
and also the Color Throwdown:
I was inspired by THIS card by my Coffee Loving Cardmakers teamie, Mary. The card is hanging out with me in my craftroom. It is really a beauty.
Each colored version of the dahlia is a bit different. The first card had to be rescued because one of the polkas was injured. You can see it in the photo above, it’s the card on the left. I rescued it by adding the dark brown twine. This second card has a light touch on the orange zig clean color real brush marker and no Shadow Mauve around the dahlia.
This final card has a touch of pink on the petals. I’m featuring the following digital stamp sets:
- Angie Blom Digital Designs | Dahlia Delight [dahlia]
- Gracielle Design | Luscious Bouquet [sentiment]
- Graciellie Designs | Vintage Library Cards
Everything was printed on watercolor paper. I use the Avery.com Postcards Tall #8382. It gives me a better view of what the digital design will look like. I layered each of the elements and printed it out on my Laser Printer. I trimmed each design out to an A2 panel. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and their blender pen. When each was completed, I used a rectangle die to cut out the Library Card.

Such a gorgeous image! I love it with this sketch and the kraft polka dots behind it. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
LOVE how you colored that digi! And following the FMS sketch was a great idea, especially with the tilt!
Such delightful floral cards Amy… I love the one with the pink in the petals. Your backgrounds withe the embossingxadd so much interest without detracting from the image.
Blessings
