It’s a chilly 24 degrees outside. I whipped this card up because I’ve been wanting to use the Papertrey Ink – Into The Blooms – Orchid die.
This is my kind of plant…the paper kind. I’m always kind of surprised when friends/family give me plants. Guys, I don’t have a green thumb.
I combined the following products:
- Papertrey Ink – Into the Blooms: Orchid die
- Papertrey Ink – Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket
- Concord & 9th – Quilted Card Front Die
- Reverse Confetti – Word Up [retired]
No copics on this, just distress oxides:
- pot – Salvaged Patina | Peacock Feathers
- greenery – Twisted Citron | Mowed Lawn
My card was inspired by the current Color Hues Challenge

So happy to have you join our challenge, Amy! I had to laugh about not having a green thumb. This pretty orchid is flourishing on your delightful card. I love the Salvaged Patina for that vase.
Amy, so pretty in these colors. Love all the dimension on your card. Thanks for joining Color Hues challenge, Linda, GD.
Amy, As I mentioned over on IG, or somewhere…LOL. This is really such a pretty card! I love orchids and currently have 3 that I have managed to keep alive for quite some time. I too struggled with plants when I was younger, but am improving with age. LOL Thrilled to see this beauty in the gallery at Color Hues. Hope your temps warm up soon.
Orchids are the touchiest to keep alive, so I’m with you, Amy – I only “grow” the paper kind lol! Love your design with the quilted die cut background and your perfect ink blending in the CH colors. Thanks so much for joining us at Color Hues!
We’ve had very mixed results with orchids. This one is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the layered white background .Thanks for sharing with us on Color Hues!
