Mini Misti + Pressure Pal
I always stamp with this duo. I can’t image my crafty life without them. The Pressure Pal is made and sold by my friend Amanda of Twiddler’s Nook. It lets me apply even pressure on an inked photopolymer stamp. The Misti revolution? I remember my friend Vicki trying to explain it to our crafty group. I thought it was the weirdest tool and BOOM, now I love it.
Sandy Allnock’s Hex Chart +Tonic Studios – Pressure Pal + Ellen Hutson LLC – Teflon Bone Folder
I’ve had Sandy’s Hex Chart since 2015. I use it every time I color with copics. I didn’t think there was a difference in tools for creasing your card bases. i use to use a cheap plastic one for years until my friend Laura told me about the Ellen Hutson Bone Folder. It’s comfortable in your grip and doesn’t leave a sheen on your cardstock. More about the Tonic Studio Trimmer below:
I own three Tonic Studio Paper Cutters:
12″ Maxi Base Guillotine – I started with this one after the Fiskars blades kept shredding my cardstock. It was definitely a great change but if you don’t hold your cardstock firmly, it can shift and not give you the straight cuts that you want.
8.5″ Handy Guillotine Paper Cutter – This is my go-to trimmer now. I use it to cut down my 8.5 x 11 cardstock. I still use the 12″ for 12×12 paper. [Currently on SALE at Tonic – 40% off.]
6.25″ Trimmer – The version I own is not from the Tim Holtz Collection. I love this one for trimmer sentiments and smaller work. A big thank you for Vicki [again] for the introduction to this one. It’s perfect to bring for a crafty day.
I would love to hear what some of your crafting basics are. What are some of your ‘shortcuts’? I splurge and buy A2 card bases. I always layer a 100 lb A2 panel on top. I use Hammermill, thanks to my friend Toni. I LOVE the feel of 110 Neenah Solar White, which I own, but I tend to manage a ton of layers on my cards and it makes it less postal friendly with the 110.
