Here’s how I was inspired:

I managed to use all three new stamp sets in my project:

  • Kris Lauren – Complete August 2022 Bundle
  • Kris Lauren – Beehive
  • Kris Lauren – Honey Crock [sentiment]
  • Kris Lauren – Honey Jar [flowers]

I love the Big & Bold collection. If you’re a bit intimidated by the size and coloring, here’s a bit of a tip. I stamped the beehive out on yellow cardstock and fussy cut it to the black outline. I then used a black marker and used the edge to ‘color’ all around the hive. This solidifies the outline. I did the same thing with the opening to the beehive. You can’t tell that I stamped the image out again and fussy cut the opening. I wanted to be able to use my smaller blender brush and ink up the edges like I did with the main part of the beehive.

Can you tell that the lighter aqua panel has been dry embossed with a super old hex embossing folder? The flowers have been adhered to the card panel with foam adhesive for visual interest. Do you see the black embroidery thread? I did it again to this project. Here’s my earlier project:

I had so many comments about that little detail that I decided to do it again to today’s project.

  4. Your card is very lovely and I did notice that embroidery thread as soon as I saw the card. That little bow detail gives the card a little special interest. The detail and dimension in your card makes the images pop. Love it!
