Hello and Welcome to the Hero Arts Summer 2016 Release Blog HopThe products have been shipping to retailers for a few weeks now, so you may have seen them out and about. Our hop marks the launch in the Hero Arts online store!

You should have arrived here from the Hero Arts blog, if not, you’ll want to start there so that you don’t miss any of the fun!

Hero Arts will be giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Sunday, May 15 at 11:59pm PT and they will announce the winners the following week on the Hero Arts Blog!

I have tons of pics to share, so let’s get started!  First up, a card using Kelly’s Seattle stamp set.

I used Pool and Sunshine papers.  The Misti comes in quite handy with this design.  I place the images onto my panel and then have the Misti do all the work.  I used Tide Pool Shadow ink.  It has a bit of an ombre look, eh?  That might happen if you don’t clean off your stamps from their last use.  I was going to do it over again but, I like it!

Next up, is something that was quite a project for me!  Yup, it’s a mini album that I created using a notebook that I picked up for super cheap!

F6078 Pineapple • DC181 Kelly’s Labels Stamp & Cut
My first page uses the fun Pineapple stamp.  It’s been colored with Zig Clean Color Markers.  I also used Kelly’s Labels Stamp & Cut.

H6158 Destination Seattle • H6169 Destination Hawaii • CL981 Happy Mail

I’m a huge fan of the new Destination stamps…I used Seattle and Hawaii…see the arrow?  That is from the new Happy Mail stamp set released as an add-on for the (sold out) April My Monthly Hero Kit.

CL978 Beach • CL956 Color Layering Seahorse

We definitely were spoiled by the gorgeous weather and perfect trade winds that made me a happy camper!  I’m trying to incorporate my handwriting more often in my projects.  Maui Hyatt was written on Kelly’s Everyday Sticky Notes.  The peace, love & sunshine is from the New Beach set.  The stamps on the right page are all from the Color Layering Seahorse set.  The starfish was inked with Butter Bar + Dark Quartz Shadow Inks.  I watercolored the page a smidge with my Peerless.

CG695 Irregular Grid Bold Prints • CL977 City Adventure

I was super lucky to fly over to Oahu and meet up with Niki Garcia and Donna Mikasa💚  (note:  super sad that the pic turned out dark)  We had such an awesome dinner together!  I used Kelly’s Food Coma + Kelly’s Girl Talk Planner stamps on the left page.

Darin and I toured the Road to Hana with another couple from his company.  It was a long day but we managed to stop by several places like Hana Farms + Maui Wine.  I used the new Irregular Grid Bold Prints and City Adventure on the Hana Farms page.

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by…now hippety hop over to the awesome Clare’s blog!  In case you get lost along the way, here’s the hop listing!

  36. Well, aloha…what a terrifice Seattle card. And that charming little notebook is adorable. Love the coloring of your stamps.

  37. Scrumptious designs! I think these are sold out already because I tried to get them. I was raised by Seattle, lived in Oregon and now in Hawai'i lol! So all these images would touch my heart. You road to Hana adventure reminds me of the first time we took it, and didn't know what it was like. When we are "done," I about wanted to divorce my husband, on our honeymoon on Maui lol!!!! It was nauseating and treacherous. We live on Big Island now for last 12 yrs. I love what you've done with your mini album. Sweet creations Amy!

  38. I was in Hawaii in January.
Nimble fingers hit the wrong button
and I lost most of my pictures.
I had a good time and will remember
the things I saw in my mind.
    Love that little album.
    thanks for sharing.

  42. Love this mini book. It is a treasure. Loving these travel related stamps. Got to find the opportunity to start keeping memories in these traveler notebooks. Splendid HA release. Cheers!

  43. What a super, stinkin' cute, little album, Amy! Love it! Those stamps totally steal the show. I'm gonna have to look for some of those. TFS!

  44. Your Travel Logs are so sweet! Thanks for sharing them. God bless! ILuvTheEucharist (at) aol.com

  45. I love how you did your travel cards and the stamps in your journal. I went to Hawaii in 1980 and I remember it like it was yesterday. It was yesterday, wasn't it? LOL I loved the scenery in Hana but that one lane road that we road up with the guardrail and the 60 ft. drop on one side were scary! We were in a tour van & the road was so bad I felt like I was back home in CT, potholes and all. I wish I could go back but I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. Glad you had fun. What great stamps for vacationers!

  46. Your mini album turned out so nice. Perfect timing for this line of stamps. Guess I should book a vacation so I have an excuse to buy the stamps! 😎

  47. nice album to remember your trip! hope hero arts does even more color layering sets, they are gret!!!
