Hello and Welcome to the Lasting Hearts Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from my newest Hero Arts teamie, May Sukyong Park!  If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning which is the Hero Arts Blog.

Lasting Hearts was started by Kimberly Saldaña, Director of Sales at Hero Arts.  This amazing cause can use your handmade cards!  Read HERE for all the details.  If you’re interested in contributing a monetary donation, pop over HERE.

Hero Arts is donating 25% of the profits from these stamps to support the Lasting Hearts efforts, in cooperation with Angela Miller, the author of “You Are The Mother of All Mothers.”

Hero Arts is giving away a special prize to three lucky commenters – Angela Miller’s “You Are the Mother of All Mothers” book, as well as the So Sorry Stamp & Cut set. Please comment by Sunday, March 6 at 11:59pm PT, and the winners will be announced next week.

I used the So Sorry Stamp & Cut set on my card today.  I decided to go super clean + simple to let the sentiment be the focal point.

I am here for you
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  I followed it up by covering it up with water and adding some Gold Shimmer Spray to make the embossing POP.
You can’t tell by the photography, but the shimmer is really beautiful.

Thanks so much for hoppin’ by!  Next up is the amazing Libby!

In case you get lost along the way, here’s the hop listing:

  2. I am in awe of the elaborate, but you have just proved that simple is also very effective. Thank you.

  3. This is a wonderful cause and often overlooked. I'm so glad that more attention is being given to this. The set is beautiful and I hope to see the book in our hospital.

  4. A card that could be used for many situations in addition to this heart-wrenching one. Thank you.

  5. Lovely cause. I'm busy making cards with some friends to send in. Thank you for the inspiration.

  6. I'm sure your card is much prettier in person. I love the softness of the design. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Such a soothing card with a heartfelt message, Amy. Love the white space and embossed sentiment!

  8. What a great idea! As a labor and delivery nurse I have been in the counseling and comforting side. Having had three miscarriages myself and unable to have children I've been on the grief side. Neither side is easy. But knowing someone cares always help as some point.
